What PDF to JPG does
PDF to JPG draws each page and saves that picture as a JPG. A one-page PDF downloads as one JPG. A longer PDF downloads as one ZIP, with the pages in document order. This is a picture of the page. It does not pull out pictures that were already stored inside the PDF.
Quality
High is the usual choice. It draws each page at twice the page’s point size, so ordinary text stays readable. Standard uses the point size itself. Extra sharp uses three times that size and needs more memory. The JPG is still a compressed picture. There is no separate sharpness slider, and these choices are not DPI settings.
Privacy
The PDF is read in this browser and is not uploaded. The JPG and the ZIP are created here too. The file name of the download is pdfzaro-page-001.jpg, or pdfzaro-jpg.zip when there are several pages. It does not use the PDF’s title or author. Camera-style and Photoshop markers that a browser may add while saving a JPG are removed. The picture itself stays as the browser drew it.
Safety guards
The tool stops above 32 MB or above 30 pages, and it refuses a page whose picture would be wider or taller than 8192 pixels or larger than 8 million pixels. These ceilings are checked before a large picture is created. They are not a statement that every device can finish a file of that size. A password-protected PDF is rejected. There is no password field.
What this tool does not do
- It does not extract the original images embedded in the PDF. A future tool can do that job.
- It does not make PNG or WebP files, and it does not offer a page picker, crop, or a rotation editor.
- It does not repair a damaged PDF, and it does not remove a password.
- Colors are the picture the browser paints. This is not a print proof, and it does not promise a press color match.
- A PDF that does not include its fonts may not look like it does in another viewer. This page does not borrow fonts from your computer to fill the gap.
Questions
Are PDFs uploaded?
No. The pages are drawn in your browser. The site does not receive the PDF, the JPG, the file name, or the text on the page.
Does this extract images from PDF?
No. Each page is drawn as a JPG. Extracting the original pictures stored in the file is a different tool, and it is not this page.
Why is a protected PDF rejected?
Opening it would need a password. This tool does not ask for one and does not remove protection.
